Pokémon China's third 30th-anniversary First Partner Illustration Card release brings Hoenn, Kalos, and Paldea into the display-card series. Vol.3 has nine new special illustration foil cards, with three cards from the same region forming one panoramic scene.

Collector Takeaway

Vol.3 is the focused entry for collectors who want Hoenn, Kalos, or Paldea starter art, while also extending the magnetic display system used by the first two volumes.

At CNY 39, the set offers a known display frame and booster alongside a randomized promo card. Plan around the one-in-nine card selection if your goal is to assemble a particular regional panorama.

Here are the confirmed launch details, how the random card and magnetic-frame format works, and how Vol.3 connects to the previous two releases.

What Comes in the Box

Each box contains three items:

  • 1 random First Partner special illustration foil card from 9 equally produced variants.
  • 1 acrylic magnetic card display frame.
  • 1 Chasing Glory Together booster pack containing 5 cards.

Chasing Glory Together Scarlet & Violet booster pack included with the Vol.3 card set.

A Frame Made for the Three-Card Display

The acrylic frame is part of the product, not just packaging. Pokémon China says it adheres to iron metal surfaces and magnetically connects horizontally with other frames, so a regional trio can be displayed as one continuous piece.

The supplied product images show both the empty frame construction and the three Hoenn cards installed together. A complete panorama requires the three specific cards from that region; buying three boxes does not guarantee that result because every box contains one random card.

Official Notes

  • The official page describes all shown images as product design mockups; the final physical product takes precedence.
  • The product guarantees one card per box, randomly selected from the nine equally produced variants.

Nine Cards Across Three Regional Panoramas

The nine cards are split into three starter trios. Place the three cards from one region side by side to complete a single wide illustration that recalls its games and locations.

  • Hoenn: Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip.
  • Kalos: Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie.
  • Paldea: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.

How Vol.3 Fits the 30th-Anniversary Series

Pokémon China's earlier Vol.1 release covered Kanto, Sinnoh, and Alola, while Vol.2 covered Johto, Unova, and Galar. Vol.3 adds Hoenn, Kalos, and Paldea, giving the three releases one illustrated starter trio for each of the nine regions represented in the line to date.

The format remains consistent across the series: one random illustrated card, one compatible display frame, and one five-card booster pack at CNY 39. The booster changes by volume; Vol.3 includes Chasing Glory Together.
